Tony Kiewel, President, Sub Pop Records (USA)

Tony Kiewel is Co-President of Sub Pop where he's worked for the last 23 years. Originally starting in Radio Promotion he soon moved over to A&R, and eventually became Head of A&R. He's responsible for bringing in such artists as Flight of the Conchords, The Postal Service, Father John Misty, Hannah Jadagu, and dozens of others. He also serves on the boards of A2IM and WIN.

Sweetie Zamora - Head Of Labels & Promotions, Remote Control (AUST)

Sweetie Zamora is music industry management professional with more than 15 years experience at independent record labels, music festivals, publicity services and specialist radio.
As Head of Labels & Promotions at Remote Control Records she manages relationships between labels partners, artists, managers and external stakeholders. She leads internal teams to deliver the best results for artists, support their growth and always does so with empathy and understanding.
Since 2007 Sweetie has worked for the likes of Bossy Music, Laneway Festival, Vivid LIVE at Sydney Opera House, Warner Music Australia and FBi Radio. She also plays violin, bass guitar and is a Ken Done enthusiast.

Maria Amato - CEO, AIR (AUST)

Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR), Chief Executive Officer Worldwide Independent Network (WIN), Executive Board Member, Treasurer
Maria Amato is the CEO of AIR and WIN Executive Board member and Treasurer. Amato has worked in the arts and not-for-profit sector for over 25 years and is recognised as a change agent specialising in finance management and leadership.
Elected as the first female and first person from the Southern hemisphere to chair the
board of WIN as part of its annual rotation in Feb 2022, Amato was then elected as treasurer in Feb 2023 and continues to serve as a member of WIN’s executive committee. Maria is also an Anchor Board member for the Reeperbahn Festival and has held non-executive director positions for the Adelaide UNESCO City of Music, The Australian Institute of Music, and Music Victoria.
As CEO of AIR, Amato is responsible for the overall management and financial reporting of the organisation including all commercial partnerships and events, advocacy and government relations. She also heads AIR’s Women In Music mentor program, aimed at empowering women in the Australian music industry to progress their careers and leadership aspirations.

Vaughan Quinn, Head of Programming, Meredith & Golden Plains (AUST)

Vaughan has been part of the Meredith & Golden Plains Programming Dept since 2014, first as a contractor, then Programming Assistant from 2015, and now Head of Programming (a full time role) since 2019. His responsibilities include:

Delivery of full artist programs for both Meredith Music Festival and Golden Plains and managing artist budgets, scheduling, and timelines.
Marketing, artwork, festival presentation, artist presentation.

Past roles include venue booker for Corner & Northcote Social Club (3 years 2016-19), and at The Venue Collective prior to that. At NSC he ran the regular free entry band night Wind It Up. Vaughan begun his contributions to Victorian live music as the organiser of Camp Nong, a 500 cap boutique festival at Kinglake (2013-16), and regular parties around town at everywhere from The Tote and Gaso to Thornbury Bowls & Footscray Boat Club.

He presents Triple R show Double Bounce, holding down Tuesday drive time for 7 years and counting.

Debbie Ball, Founder, Create Spark, UK

After 21 years working in the music industry as a pr and digital marketer at Create Spark, Debbie Ball returned to university in 2019 to study Social Media, Culture and Society MA at the University of Westminster. The twin motivations for studying this subject were 1) observing music fans’ behaviour while working as a social media manager and 2) how Facebook was co-opted by Cambridge Analytica to change the course of two world changing events.

Debbie is now a second year PhD candidate at the Communication and Media Research Institute at the University of Westminster. Her thesis focuses on how apps and design features are purposefully designed to direct user behaviour, maximise data extraction and, in turn, profit. In September 2022, Debbie began working at Kings College London as a digital humanities part time lecturer and started working in a similar role at University of Westminster in January 2023.

Music will always be a big part of Debbie’s life and she continues to work on a select amount of pr projects at Create Spark, including Black feminist punk band Big Joanie, shoegaze legends Ride and synth pop pioneers Soft Cell. Throughout her music career, Debbie’s worked with everyone from Katy Perry and Robyn to Tame Impala, Sufjan Stevens, David Crosby and The War On Drugs.
Debbie Ball travels to Going Global with support from British Council New Zealand and the Pacific.

Kate English, Promoter, Parallel Lines (UK)

Kate is a Promoter at London company Parallel Lines and works with artists including The National, Mitski, Alex G, Caroline Polachek and Shygirl.

Before promoting, Kate worked as a marketing manager at Festival Republic for 4 years, and was responsible for creating and managing the digital content for some of the biggest festivals in the world including Download Festival, Latitude Festival and Reading and Leeds Festivals.

Originally from Brisbane, Kate has been living in London for 6 years and remains passionate about Australian music and supporting Australian artists.

Kodi McKinney - Partner, Co-Founder, Marauder / Port Authority Music Export Academy (USA)

Kodi has years of experience developing talent and businesses in the music industry. He has played an instrumental role in US media campaigns for domestic and international acts. He also spearheaded the development of Marauder’s event production services, utilizing a background in marketing, curation, and performance to help connect US audiences and industry with artists and organizations from around the world. From beginnings in college radio through hands-on experience with the hurdles facing artists at all levels, he is driven by creative energy and a core belief that cultural exchange makes art and culture better.

Silke Westera, Promoter, FKP Scorpio (GERMANY)

Silke works as a tour promoter at FKP Scorpio in Germany for over 20 years now. Being passionate about working with talented acts such as Aldous Harding, Anna Calvi, Amy Shark, Big Thief, Frank Turner, Middle Kids, Skegss, Tom Odell, Warpaint, to only name a few, she’s always looking for new and exciting additions to her roster.

Nando Machado - Founder/Director, ForMusic (BRAZIL)

In 2016, after leaving Universal, Nando founded ForMusic, a marketing agency focused on Music, doing mainly label services and producing events and content. ForMusic is divided in 4 main areas. Promotion and marketing for independent artists, digital marketing campaigns and social media management for artists and labels, a content department responsible for Wikimetal and for another news portal called Mad Sound, and the 2 labels run by ForMusic, Wikimetal Music and ForMusic Records, releasing its own artists but also licencing physical products from other companies like Warner Music. ForMusic represents artists from companies such as The Beggars Group, [PIAS], Domino, Nettwerk, Big Loud, BMG, Dine Alone, Cooking Vinyl, Warner, Universal and Sony Music.
ForMusic now counts on a team of over 25 collaborators and has been certified a Great Place to Work for the past 4 years. Nando Machado is also the vice-president of ABMI, the association of independent music in Brazil.

Patrick Daniel - Programmer / Project Manager, Reeperbahn Festival (GERMANY)

Patrick Daniel, based in Berlin, has more than 12 years of music industry experience, with a background in sociology and a focus on gender studies and unconditional basic income. He has worked in label and artist management and festival sponsorships in the past and also engages in initiatives for gender equality with an intersectional approach. For more than 4 years now, he has been working for Reeperbahn Festival, RBX and Inferno Events and is currently part of various teams, including Reeperbahn Festival International, Partnerships & Sales, B2B Matchmakings, Wunderkinder – German Music Talent, Music Moves Europe and FOMC (Federation of Music Conferences) as well as Keychange.

Adam Ryan - Head of Music, The Great Escape Festival / Festival Republic (UK)

Adam Ryan has been involved with The Great Escape Festival since the first event in 2006. Now Head of Music, a position he’s held for 8 years, Adam has worked with NME, iD, The Face, Wonderland, Notion, Fader, DIY, Dork, MTV, BBC and programmed activations for Amazon, Fred Perry, Levis, Marshall Amps, Fender, Dr Martens and many other sponsors. In the early days of The Great Escape Adam was also a London-based promoter working across Camden Barfly, The Forum, Borderline, Jazz Café and other venues in the capital.

Tom Larkin - BIGSOUND / The Home Surgery / Shihad (NZ/AU)

Tom Larkin has been a career musician for the past 30 years, as the founding member of the NZ rock band Shihad. Having established a base in Melbourne since 2003, Tom is also the director of VVV MGMT responsible for overseeing the careers of Kingswood, Devin Abrams, The VANNS, Eliza & The Delusionals, Woodlock, and Villainy. Tom has carved out a niche as an artist developer with his work as a producer and owner of HOMESURGERY RECORDINGS, a studio based in the suburb of Brunswick, and in 2018 was appointed as Conference Programmer for BIGSOUND.

Hallie Anderson, Founder, Rareform (USA)

Hallie Anderson began her career at AEG Live NW and then moved to New York in 2013 to work in tour marketing at Foundations Artist Management. She joined Mom + Pop Music in 2014, where she spent nearly seven years rising to Head of Marketing and Co-GM in early 2019. In July 2021, she co-founded Rareform, where they work directly with artists, managers, labels, and distributors on marketing, digital, and release strategies with a strong focus on artist development and artist fan base growth. While at Rareform she has worked with artists including Ocean Alley, Genesis Owusu, Faye Webster, Julia Jacklin, Windser, Middle Kids, The Blaze among others.

Jackie Palazzolo - Music Supervisor, Riot Games (USA)

Jackie Palazzolo is a Music Supervisor born and raised in New York, currently based in Los Angeles. She oversees Esports Music Supervision at Riot Games, as well as contributes to various projects for Riot’s flagship games League of Legends & Valorant. Previously, Jackie led the Music Supervision and Licensing team at VICE media, working across numerous Emmy-nominated and award-winning series & productions including a few favorites “VICE,” on SHOWTIME & HBO “King of The Road,” and “F, That’s Delicious” on VICE TV. Over her 10-year career she has also consulted and freelanced for series on HBO Max, Netflix, Hulu, Showtime, Billboard, Kunhardt Films & more.

Jacob Daneman, Pitch Perfect PR (USA)

Jacob Daneman is the Executive National Publicist at Pitch Perfect PR, one of the most in-demand US independent music and entertainment publicity firms. He handles publicity for internationally renowned artists such as Wilco, Big Thief, Sufjan Stevens, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Dinosaur Jr., Slowdive, Parquet Courts, Mount Eerie, Dry Cleaning, Kurt Vile, Kevin Morby, CHAI, and many more.

Ant Healey - Head, NZ Division, APRA AMCOS (NZ)

Anthony Healey is the Head of APRA AMCOS, New Zealand Division. APRA, the Australasian Performing Right Association represent over 100,000 New Zealand and Australian music writers and publishers and through a system of reciprocal relationships with similar overseas societies, over 2 million music writers worldwide. He has been the Chairman of the New Zealand Music Commission, New Zealand Copyright Council and a Trustee of the SOUNZ, Centre for NZ Music and is currently the Chair of NZ’s music industry charity, MusicHelps.

Cath Andersen - CEO, NZ Music Commission (NZ)

Cath Andersen is the Chief Executive at the New Zealand Music Commission Te Reo Reka O Aotearoa, the government funded organisation focused on supporting a thriving New Zealand music sector – culturally, economically, and globally. The hub of NZ Music Month, the Music Commission also delivers contemporary music programmes in schools; provides music upskilling tools, resources and the Industry Internship Programme; and runs the domestic-focused Aotearoa Touring Programme and export initiative Outward Sound.

Jo Oliver - CEO, Recorded Music NZ (NZ)

Jo has been CEO since April 2022. Jo is a firm believer in the value of music and the rights of creators, and she is passionate about improving the environment for all artists to thrive. In addition to her role at Recorded Music NZ, Jo is part of the group leading SoundCheck Aotearoa, which has a mission to foster a safe and inclusive culture for the music community. Previously Jo was General Counsel and Govt Affairs for Recorded Music NZ, leading pan-industry initiatives including the music industry response to the government’s review of copyright law. Prior to this, Jo spent over two decades as a lawyer, over a decade as General Counsel at IFPI, the organisation which represents the recording industry globally.

Meet YAHYAH rising singer/songwriter by way of New Zealand, London and Los Angeles. Her independent debut EP “Unleash the Panda” accelerated to the top 50 iTunes
Pop charts in the UK, and follow up pop banger ‘Little Joy’ featured on ZM, George FM, The Project and Juice TV. ‘Thoughts From My Bed’ (2022) reached number 10 on the Hot 20 NZ Singles chart, followed up by the special Te Reo translation ‘Ngā Mahara Moenga,’ which featured as part of the Waiata Anthems campaign. Her latest offering ‘GO’ was picked up by MTV Europe and Juice TV, and featured on the likes of Rolling Stones Australia and Sniffers.

Tom Lark – (Folk Pop, Alt Pop – Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland)

Tom Lark is the original musical project of Shannon Fowler, who also releases material under the Shannon Matthew Vanya pseudonym. Where SMV allows for pop indulgence, Tom Lark is an outlet for the artist’s indie sensibilities. Having released two eponymous Tom Lark EPs in 2011 and 2015 respectively, Fowler set the project aside for a period but has returned to his first love, which turns out to be making sunburnt psychedelic folk fit for sensitive cowboys to meander and philosophise to.
Fowler was born in Ōtautahi and relocated to Tāmaki Makaurau in 2012, after a stint recording in Berlin. He works from his Okie Dokie Studio, situated just off Karangahape Road. There he has produced, co-written and engineered tracks with a delightful collection of collaborators, including Merk, Randa, A.C. Freezy, Belladonna, The Fuzzy Robes, Georgia Lines, and the mysterious Rick Shrimp.

Summer Thieves – (Alternative, Surf Rock – Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland)

Known for their ability to start the party with their indie-pop inspired tunes, Summer Thieves have gone from playing Dunedin house parties to being a mainstay across NZ’s biggest stages. After releasing a run of singles, they released their debut album, Warped, a 12-track journey laced with catchy hooks & hypnotic rhythms produced by Tiki Taane. Their second album, Paradise Down The Road, was released November 2021. The following summer saw them perform a number of sold-out headline shows & festival performances, plus their first trip to Australia, including headline shows in Brisbane, Melbourne & Byron Bay, plus support slots for L.A.B. Straight in to the studio after touring the first taste of new material came in the form of the two-track single ‘Tongue & Cheek / Pieces’, again combining their indie-rock roots and putting them through a pop filter. New single ‘Funny How The Mind Works’ lays down the sound of the upcoming album, maintaining the playful & cheeky sound that has seen them gain fans across Australasia, while showing a maturation in their songwriting. Set for release in mid-2023, the album will see the band level up and continue to expand their sound.

Soft Plastics – (Alternative rock, Indie rock, Shoegaze – Te Whanganui-a-Tara/Wellington region)

Sophie Scott-Maunder (she/her), Jonathan Shirley (he/him), and Laura Robinson (she/her) make up Soft Plastics, an indie rock trio based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Aotearoa (Wellington, NZ). Combining brooding shoegaze with endlessly atmospheric indie rock, Soft Plastics expertly blend melody and groove with moments of noise and power.
Their long-awaited debut album ‘Saturn Return’ was released in 2023 to much fanfare in the indie music scene. Recorded with producer and sound engineer James Goldsmith at the Surgery Studios, the album will feel bracingly familiar for anyone who has been put through Saturn’s wringer, and provides an illuminated pathway for those among us still ticking off their twenties.
The group have toured extensively throughout Aotearoa with NZ music legends, Fur Patrol. They have appeared alongside SILICON and King Sweeties at the Parrotdog Music Festival, opened for The Beths and Hans Pucket, and performed headline slots at indie festivals like The Others Way, CubaDupa, Newtown Festival, Rad Fest, Welcome To Nowhere and Slow Note 2021.

Ringlets – (Post Punk – Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland)

Ringlets are a young band from Auckland, NZ. Fusing the wild-eyed frenetics of early XTC and the hectoring swagger of a nascent Suede, this group released their debut album in April. Rolling Stone Australia singled out “Sever” ahead of the LP which was released with help from Boston-based Mutual Skies. This rarefied label is run by Chris Ott, editor of Pitchfork Media from 1999 to 2004. After two bombastic shows supporting punk royalty the Damned in June, plans for album #2 and their first nationwide tour fast approaching, Ringlets are going from strength to strength.

PARK RD are a 5-piece indie/rock band from West Auckland, New Zealand. Formed as school friends, the band have quickly formed a reputation as one of Tāmaki Makaurau’s most exciting new talents. After appearances across the summer at Rhythm & Vines, Le Currents & Soundsplash and supporting bands like Spacey Jane, PARK RD have embarked on their own 3 date headline tour across New Zealand play shows at institutions such as The Tuning Fork, Meow and Ngaio Marsh Theatre . MOHI – (Neo Soul- Pop – Funk- Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland)

Descending from Te Tai Tokerau, Tauranga Moana and Ngāti Kahungunu ki Te Wairoa, Māori NeoSoul, Pop and Funk artist MOHI’s smooth and soulful voice weaves urban sound with ancient taonga, creating a unique sound he’s quickly becoming known for. Recently announced as the Waiata Māori Music Awards most promising Emerging Artist of 2022, the current focus for MOHI is finding his voice within the neo-soul, pop and funk space where a lot of his inspiration comes from artists like Samm Henshaw, Snoh Aalegra, Lucky Daye and Bill Withers. Mohi released his first EP ‘Moments’ in November last year and earlier in 2023 released the radio hit single, ‘Tahuri Mai’ – smashing over 1.1 million impressions across commercial radio. 2023 is set to be MOHI’s biggest year yet with a brand new, reo rua (bilingual) EP to hit the airwaves later this year!

Mel Parsons – (Indie Folk – Ōtautahi/Christchurch)

Mel Parsons is a multi-award winning indie-folk artist from Lyttelton, and is one of Aotearoa / New Zealand’s most beloved touring acts. The 2020 Folk Artist of the Year’s 5th and latest record Slow Burn debuted at #3 on the NZ Top40 Charts; finalist for Best Folk Artist at the 2023 AMAs; finalist 2023 APRA Best Country Song. “Immaculate renditions of immaculate songs… Parsons and her band are world class” – muzic.net Oct 2022. Mazbou Q – (Hip Hop/Rap – Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland)

Mazbou Q is a UK-born, Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) based Nigerian artist, producer, content creator and educator.
Stemming from his background in classical, heavy metal and West African Highlife, Mazbou Q’s particular brand of Hiphop pushes the boundaries of the genre and captivates those with a deep appreciation for musicality. Mazbou Q takes inspiration from the likes of Fela Kuti, The Roots and Black Star as he confronts his listeners with socio-political commentary and creatively engages them in the complexities of his unique cultural identity.
Also known as ‘The Rap Scientist’, Mazbou Q has established himself across social media as a competent music educator. Having developed a theory based framework for the analysis of rap flow, his content covers concepts like polymetricism, cross rhythms and micro-timing, has been commended by the likes of Russ, Wayne Brady and Dreamville.

MACEY is a vulnerable and rebellious artist, crafting introspective pop tunes that fearlessly expose the anxieties and insecurities of love, loss, friendship, and sexuality. MACEY invites listeners into a world of rawness and catharsis. MACEY is signed to Warner Music in NZ.
Macey has opened for international acts including: Lime Cordiale, Tash Sultana, and most recently Teenage Dads – Played NZs biggest summer festival RnV in 2022 – debut album ‘The Lovers’ set to come out September 15, the latest single ‘Night Out’ came out to very positive response (pop radio rotation, Spotify’s NMF, Indie Arrivals, etc).and clocked up over 1 million listener impressions across commercial and indie radio.

LUKE THOMPSON - (Folk -Singer/Songwriter – East Coast/Te Tairāwhiti)

Luke Thompson has been a fixture in Aotearoa’s folk music scene since his 2005 debut single ‘Morning Light’ spent 11 weeks on the NZ Top 40 charts. In a snapshot he has released five albums and two EPs, gone viral in China, toured across the globe and built a loyal fanbase along the way. Luke has performed and collaborated with artists such as Passenger, Stu Larsen, The Paper Kites and Avalanche City. His most recent project ‘The Trials and Tribulations of Adam and his Seed’ sees Thompson turning his attention to everything from biblical themes to politics and privilege and the bittersweet nostalgia of fairy tales in a world of modern anxiety.

KITA – (Indie Rock/Psych Pop/Electronica – Pōneki/Wellington)

KITA: Is fronted by Taiwan-born Nikita 雅涵 Tu-Bryant; describing her kaupapa as “finding commonalities between differences” through various forms of artistry with nominations in film/theatre, and music. Zuccollo, the man behind the 70s Moog and Rhodes is synth-master ZUKE he has appeared on records with The Black Seeds, Troy Kingi. Cranson, their drummer plays between genres, is known for psych-rock band Little Bushman. During COVID, KITA released an EP and debut album with Grammy-Award winning producer Tommaso Colliva (MUSE) and toured domestically between lockdowns. KITA have released their second EP “LOVE LIVES HERE” and toured, having played SPLORE, 121, and WOMAD.

Grecco Romank – (Industrial, Eurodance, Dark Wave – Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland)

Billie Fee (she/her), Mikey Sperring (he/him – Drab Doo Riffs, Bib Kids) and Damian Golfinopoulos (he/him, Stress Cadet) are the members of Grecco Romank, a Tāmaki Makaurau based trio who make electronic music described by Flying Out as “our favourite opera-techno-sludge-Berlin warehouse party genre-smasher”.
Since 2020 the band have been releasing luxuriously bogan techno tracks inspired by microgenres like Industrial and Eurodance. Their debut album Red Tower was a critical success in Aotearoa’s underground circles.
In March 2023, Wet Exit, their second album was released and found them reaching wider audiences with a sellout tour around Aotearoa. Described by Rolling Stone as “as the sound of the rave you never want to end up at but the one you inevitably find yourself magnetically drawn into.“

Elliot & Vincent – (Garage Rock – Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland)

Equipped with a Japanese lawsuit guitar and a tom-heavy drum style, Elliot & Vincent are an Auckland-based two-piece band, featuring drummer and vocalist Elliot Finn and guitarist Vincent Cherry. The pair fill the space in each other’s sound to form driving rhythms with distorted strain. Together, they draw influence from the likes of PJ Harvey, The Kills, Charlie Megira and Alan Vega, heavily grounding themselves within the garage/indie genre. The band recently performed as part of the lineup for bFM’s Fancy New band showcase and will be opening for Ringlets for the final show of their New Zealand tour.

Dawn Diver – (Indie /Alternative/Jazz – Pōneki/Wellington)

Dawn Diver is the primary project of Pōneke multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Ben Lemi (Bret McKenzie, Trinity Roots, Estère). Described as “gorgeously evocative” by Capital Magazine, Dawn Diver is a powerful union of progressive song craft and nuanced grooves. Sonically parallel to the likes of Hiatus Kaiyote and Dirty Projectors, Dawn Diver has enjoyed great reviews after festival performances at this year’s Welcome to Nowhere, and Cuba Dupa. Having opened for The Beths “Expert in a Dying Field” NZ tour in 2022, Dawn Diver are set to further engage fans with a debut album later this year.

D.C. Maxwell - (Alt Country – Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland)

D.C. Maxwell is an alt-country singer-songwriter from Tāmaki Makaurau. With the frenetic energy of a punk preacher, Maxwell puts a new spin on the 1970s outlaw country of Lee Hazlewood and Townes Van Zandt. A troubadour, a magnetic performer, but foremost a storyteller, Maxwell’s live show see’s him physically embody each of his song’s characters with passion. The mosaic of his songs creates a world of love and loss in roadside motel rooms, and the inner lives of small town dreamers majestic as the plains Called “indisputably one of Tāmaki Makaurau’s hottest rising talents” by Under the Radar magazine in 2022. Without releasing a single song, D.C. Maxwell also managed to open for Future Islands at their sold-out Powerstation show in February 2023. After releasing his debut single, ‘The Leading Man’, D.C. Maxwell was met with high praise and a warm reception. Rolling Stone AUS/NZ wrote, “Maxwell confidently strides into the spotlight on his leading single.” D.C. Maxwell is the former front-man of punk band Roidz active from 2016-2019 and known for their electrifying live performances.

Clementine Valentine (Art Pop – Waikato)

Sisters Clementine & Valentine Nixon are signed to the iconic Flying Nun Records for NZ/Australia and have global aspiration. Their upcoming album, The Coin that Broke the Fountain Floor, is out on August 25th with a supporting NZ Tour in early September set up via Banished. Clementine Valentine recently supported Weyes Blood at the Powerstation and their first single under their new moniker ‘Endless Night’ went to #1 on the SRN Top 10.

Ch! Nonso - (Afro Soul – Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland)

Ch! Nonso is an AfroSoul artiste of Igbo (South-Eastern) descent. He performed at Splore 2018 as a vocalist for New Telepathics; and again in 2019 as the lead vocalist for Ijebu Pleasure Club. He has also collaborated with Phodiso, Mazbou Q, Thabani Gapara and Sola Rosa. Ch! Nonso’s sound is influenced by traditional Igbo rhythms such as Amawbia and Mbaise sounds, Highlife, RnB, Afrobeat, Jazz, Soul; and artists such as Femi Kuti, Destiny’s Child, Celestine Ukwu, Plantashun Boiz and Stevie Wonder.
Ch! Nonso released his debut EP, Kola Nuts & Chardonnay, in March, 2023. He has begun recording an album set to release in 2024 and plans to tour the North Island after the album release and has goals to tour back home in Nigeria within the next 5 years.

Blake (Alt Pop – Tāhuna/Queenstown)

Originating from Queenstown, Alt-Pop artist Blake spent her formative years as a top line writer in the UK, landing her nomination for ‘Best Vocalist’ at the 2017 DnB awards in London. Returning to NZ at the end of 2020, she released her celebrated EP ’Skeptical’ in October 2022. With singles from the project ‘CPU’ and ‘You Don’t Decide’ both placing in the NZ Charts and airing on BBC Introducing London. Her ability to craft hook laden, authentic, meaningful pop tracks is what distinguishes her from other artists. Described by Tearaway Magazine as a ‘unique upcoming pop talent’ and brings with her a distinct sense of global sensibility.

Anthonie Tonnon - (Art Pop/Indie Rock – Whanganui)

Anthonie Tonnon is a songwriter and performer originally from Ōtepoti | Dunedin,, and now based in Whanganui. His latest album, Leave Love Out Of This, won the coveted 2022 Taite Music Prize. Tonnon produced the album with long-time collaborator Jonathan Pearce (The Beths), and released the album on Nadia Reid’s Slow Time Records. During the development of the album, Tonnon toured widely as a solo performer in the USA, EU, and Australasia, including support tours with The Veils, The Chills and Nadia Reid. He also developed the immersive live shows, A Synthesized Universe for modern planetariums, and Rail Land – a show where audience and performer travel to a venue by public transport. To celebrate the album’s release, Tonnon created a new show with the four piece Leave Love Out Of This band, and they have just completed a 12 show tour around Aotearoa including beloved festivals such as Splore, Cuba Dupa and Nostalgia.
