Bub

Bub is a ruthlessly independent band blending doo-wop harmonies with post-punk grit.

Led by Priya Sami, they’ve carved a bold path through Aotearoa’s indie scene with their wild live shows and fearless sound. After supporting alt-rock legend Bob Mould in November 2024, Bub continued to gain momentum with their debut album Can’t Even, released May 9th, 2025, celebrated with a festive album release show at Neck of the Woods. The record singles charted on the SRN and NZ Alternative and earned praise from The Listener and The Spinoff, with features on RNZ’s The Sampler, Music 101, and Sunday Morning, cementing their status as ones to watch.
