Where does Going Global take place?

The daytime conference takes place at Q Theatre, 305 Queen Street, Auckland CBD.The showcases take place across three stages in connected venues in Auckland - at Whammy and Double Whammy, 183 Karangahape Road, Auckland CBD.

Question 3

What is the difference between a Conference ticket and a Going Global festival ticket?

The Conference ticket includes full access to the conference, priority access to all evening live showcases and additional networking activities. The Going Global  Festival ticket includes access to the evening showcases only.

Question 4

Can I attend Going Global if I'm not involved in the music industry?

Accepted Answer

Going Global is open to anyone, you don't have to work in the business already to attend. Many themes covered are also relevant to other creative industries.

How exactly do the panels work?

Each panel will run slightly differently, but the majority consist of 4-5 speakers sat on sofas answering questions asked by a moderator and participating in discussion. Sessions are very informal and fluid. We aim to provide some time at the end of each session for questions from the audience.

Do I need to register for the showcases if I have bought a Conference Pass?

No, all Conference Passes include admission to the showcases.

I have a ticket / pass but cannot attend all the additional activities. Am I able to come to certain parts and not others?

Yes, you can come to whichever activities suit your schedule. Please email dylan@indies.co.nz with details on your planned attendance.

Can I bring my own music to give to other delegates and speakers?

Accepted Answer

You are welcome to bring your music along to give to delegates and speakers. Keep in mind that many people prefer not to carry CDs/vinyl around so may prefer a download code/dropcard/QR code link.

Does my ticket have a registered seat number?

No, seating is not allocated.

I only want to go to one panel in particular, do I have to buy a full ticket?

Yes, we do not offer tickets for individual panels.

Will there be breaks between each talk?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but they will be very short, so that you can see almost everything. However delegates are not obliged to attend every seminar and are welcome to take a break at any point.

I am under the age of 18, can I attend the evening showcase?

The Going Global showcase festival is strictly 18+.

Can I buy tickets for the showcases only?

Accepted Answer

Yes, tickets for the showcases are available to purchase on Under The Radar. Door sales on the night will be subject to availability.

Do I need permission to take photographs at Going Global?

Accepted Answer

If you are a professional photographer or intend to use professional photographic equipment, please contact us in advance for a photo pass (email lisa@thelabel.co.nz). You are welcome to take photos on your phone or with a digital camera, but please disable any sounds and do not use a flash.

Is there any car-parking?

There are no free on-site car-parking facilities available. There are paid parking meters and buildings near Q Theatre and Whammy Bar. We recommend public transport.

The event schedule for the Going Global Festival will be released closer to the date - watch this space!

Question 18

I have bought a ticket but can no longer attend, can I get a full refund?

Accepted Answer

Attendees can receive refunds up to 7 days before the event start date. However, if you are no longer able to attend we can transfer your ticket to someone else up to the day before. For further information please email dylan@indies.co.nz.

Conference Early Bird tickets are on sale now via Q Theatre. Conference ticketholders are automatically granted access to the showcase festival. You do not need to buy a seperate ticket.Showcase-Only tickets are available on Under The Radar.
