Pearly* are a four piece indie-rock band from Otepoti. They broke into the New Zealand scene last year with their debut record Not So Sweet, released on Flying Nun, Leather Jacket and Pinacolada Records.

The record placed high on NZ end of year list's, 12th on Rollingstone AUNZ and 13th Floor saying "Pearly* has my vote for album of the year". The buzz around the band saw them embraced by their influences, David Kilgour saying "their future looks bright" and supporting HDU, and Voom's comeback tours.

Since then Pearly* have been working on and touring new music for an upcoming sophomore record.
