Pixie Weyand is a Music Festival Programmer at SXSW. In this role she works with artists and showcase presenters from around the world, including New Zealand/Aotearoa and Australia. Recognized as the world's premier music showcasing event, SXSW brings together the global music community, alongside the tech and film/TV industries, for a week of networking and live showcases in Austin, Texas, featuring more than 1,000 artists from 60+ countries. Pixie was previously owner/booker of The Zoo in Brisbane, one of Australia's longest-running independent venues. Her background also includes publishing, sync, A&R and label services.
