ZAC ARNOLD

Zac Arnold is a musician and label founder based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), Aotearoa. In 2019, he founded Sunreturn, an independent record label dedicated to championing artists who find freedom in imagining new sounds. Sunreturn has quickly become one of Aotearoa’s fastest growing independent labels, with its artists earning nominations and wins at the Aotearoa Music Awards, the Taite Music Prize, and the Student Radio Network Awards.

The label’s releases have received strong support across commercial and alternative radio, Spotify editorial playlists, and international platforms such as Bandcamp Daily and NTS.

Zac is currently the Creative Director of Naked PR, and has previously worked with Flying Out, RNZ, 95bFM, and the Auckland Radio Trust. He has also served on the board of Independent Music New Zealand (2018 - 2019, 2021 - 2025) and contributes to the growth and advocacy of the independent music sector in Aotearoa.
